Parts of Speech in Hindi Definition
आपको पता है की English Language की सबसे छोटी इकाई को letter कहते है। Letters का उपयोग अंग्रेजी के शब्द (Word) को बनाने के लिए किया जाता है। शब्द कई प्रकार के होते है।
उदाहरण के लिए, “मेरा नाम अनिकेत है।” यहाँ ‘अनिकेत’ एक प्रकार का शब्द (Word) है, जिससे यह पता चल रहा है की यह एक नाम है। “मै खेल रहा हूँ।” इस वाक्य मे ‘खेलना’ एक प्रकार का शब्द (Word) है, जिससे हमें किसी क्रिया के होने का पता चल रहा है।
इस प्रकार से कोई शब्द किसी चीज की विशेषता (Quality) को बताता है, तो कोई शब्द काम करने के तरीके को बताता है।
शब्दों के इन्ही प्रकारों का अध्ययन एवं वाक्यों मे प्रयोग करने के लिए, Traditional English Grammar के अनुसार इन्हे 8 भागों मे बाँटा गया है, जिसे Parts of Speech कहते है।
दुसरे शब्दों में अंग्रेजी के जितने भी शब्द है उनको, वाक्यों में कार्य (function) एवं प्रयोग (use) के आधार पर आठ भागो में बांटा गया है, जिसे Parts of Speech कहा जाता है।

Noun (संज्ञा): किसी व्यक्ति, स्थान, वस्तु, विचार, भावना, गुण या क्रिया का नाम Noun कहलाता है।
Pronoun (सर्वनाम): Noun के स्थान पर प्रयुक्त होने वाले शब्द Pronoun कहलाते हैं।
Adjective (विशेषण): किसी Noun या Pronoun की विशेषता बताने वाले शब्द Adjective कहलाते हैं।
Verb (क्रिया): किसी काम या घटना को करने या होने का बोध कराने वाले शब्द Verb कहलाते हैं।
Adverb (क्रियाविशेषण): क्रिया की विशेषता बताने वाले शब्द Adverb कहलाते हैं।
Preposition (संबंध सूचक): वाक्य में किसी Noun, Pronoun या अन्य शब्द के साथ संबंध बताने वाले शब्द Preposition कहलाते हैं।
Conjunction (संयोजक): दो या दो से अधिक शब्दों या वाक्यों को जोड़ने वाले शब्द Conjunction कहलाते हैं।
Interjection (विस्मयादिबोधक): किसी भाव या विचार को व्यक्त करने वाले शब्द Interjection कहलाते हैं।
सामान्यतः All parts of speech को इस प्रकार से परिभाषित की जाती है। नीचे All parts of speech with definitions बारीकी से समझाया गया है।
Noun in Hindi
वह शब्द जो किसी व्यक्ति, प्राणी, वृक्ष, अनाज, कोई चीज या वस्तु, स्थान, अवस्था, गुण, भाव या किसी कार्य के नाम को बताये उसे Noun कहते है।

Creature – Tiger, Snake, Lion, Butterfly, Bee etc.
Tree – Bamboo – (बांस), Banyan – (बरगद), Neem – (नीम) etc.

Thing – Chair, Table, Car, Box, Book, Pen etc.
Place – India, Mumbai, Bihar, Vaishali etc.
State – Childhood, Death, Situation, Sleep etc.
Quality – Honesty, Kindness, Cleverness etc.
Feeling – Love, Resentment (नाराजगी), Embarrassment (शर्मिंदगी) etc.
Action – Work, Theft, Movement, judgement etc.
Pronoun in Hindi
Noun के स्थान पर प्रयुक्त होने वाले शब्द Pronoun कहलाते हैं। Pronoun का प्रयोग Noun के दोहराओ से बचने के लिए किया जाता है।

- Rahul went to the market. Rahul bought some fruits. Rahul paid for the groceries
- Rahul went to the market. He bought some fruits and paid for the groceries.
पहले उदाहरण मे, Rahul (Noun) का प्रयोग प्रत्येक वाक्य मे किया है गया है, जिससे यह पढ़ने मे यह प्रभावशाली नहीं लग रहा है।
दूसरे उदाहरण में, पहले वाक्य के बाद Rahul (Noun) के बदले He (Pronoun) का प्रयोग किया गया है। जो Rahul (Noun) का दोहराओ होने से रोकता है एवं वाक्य को संक्षिप्त एवं अधिक प्रभावशाली भी बनाता है।
Adjective in Hindi
वह शब्द जो Noun या Pronoun की विशेषता बतलाता है, अर्थात जो शब्द यह बताए की कोई चीज कैसा है, कितना है या किसका है, उसे Adjective कहते है।
Adjective Examples
कैसा है – Good, Beautiful, Intelligent, Honest, Intelligent, Sweet, Testy, Blue, Red etc.
कितना है – Some, Few, Many, Little, One, Two, Five etc.
किसका है – My, His, Her, Our, Your, Its, Their (इनकी संख्या मात्र 7 हैं)
Verb in Hindi
वह शब्द जो कार्य, सम्बन्ध या अधिकार या अवस्था को दर्शाता है वह शब्द Verb कहलाता है।

Conjunction in Hindi
अंग्रेजी के वह शब्द जो दो words, दो phrases, दो clauses या दो sentences को जोड़ने का कार्य करता है, उसे conjunction कहते है। जैसे – and, or, but, yet, that, as well as etc.
